Don't Guess -- Test™

All health, diseases and cures are derived from three premises.

  • Premise 1: All health and disease are biochemical.
  • Premise 2: If someone was healthy and they’re not now, something’s changed in their biochemistry.
  • Premise 3: If you identify and treat the underlying biochemical dysfunction(s), disease can be prevented and cured.
Each of the premises, as simple as they may appear, combines centuries of clinical observation and deductions with contemporary biomedical research.

Imagine you will for a moment that medicine never invented the PAP smear to screen and protect women from cervical cancer, or the colonoscopy to screen for colon cancers. These advances in medicine have saved countless lives and millions of dollars. Today medicine has reached new level of noninvasive diagnostic capabilities based on extensive clinical biochemical testing. This medicine was first described as “biochemical individuality” by Roger Williams, PhD in 1956. Since then medical biochemists, in conjunction with the advances in genetics, have determined the exact biochemical pathways that cause, maintain and promote diseases. Testing these biochemical parameters allows skilled clinicians to identify the underlying causes of disease and correct them using medical nutrition to realign the body’s biochemistry and promote health. These tests have been called “The metabolic CT scan of the entire body.”

The power of this approach is detailed in the book, A Revolution in Health through Nutritional Biochemistry, written by John Neustadt, ND and Steve Pieczenik, MD, PhD, founders of NBI Testing and Consulting Corp. Their book is available on Amazon.com.

MetaCT™

The MetaCT™ family of tests offers a unique evaluation of the underlying biochemical causes of disease. The most comprehensive of the panels, the MetaCT 400™, reports more than 400 variables of biochemical function. Variables reported on this panel include:

  • Amino acids
  • Vitamins
  • Intracellular Minerals (chromium, vanadium, copper, manganese, zinc, magnesium)
  • Toxic metals (cadmium, arsenic, lead, mercury, aluminum)
  • Food intolerances
  • Fasting Serum Insulin
  • Fasting Blood Glucose
  • Markers of inflammation and free radical damage (lipid peroxides, 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, ferritin, fibrinogen, C-reactive protein)
  • Antioxidants (Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin E, Beta-carotene, Vitamin A)
  • Urinary organic acids for energy and hormone production
  • Fatty acids (omega-3, omega-6, saturated fatty acids and their ratios)
  • For a complete list of all variables included on this test, click here.

Recent News

Drs. Neustadt and Pieczenik's article, Medication-Induced Mitochondrial Damage and Disease, was accepted for publication in the journal Molecular Nutrition and Food Research. They are honored to have been contacted directly by the editor, a senior FDA researcher, who asked them to share their expertise on the subject and write this seminal article.

Testimonial

“You can imagine my surprise when I received the reports from my MetaCT 400 lab study and discovered I was severely allergic to dairy products, egg yolks, egg whites, and peanuts. So prior to my scheduled consultation, I immediately stopped consuming these items and foods which contained these ingredients. Three days later, I felt like a new person. Most of the chronic muscle, bone, and joint aches I have been having for over 10 years went away. I felt stronger, lighter on my feet, and for the first time I tired out my children while playing with them outside.
"The 'restless leg' condition I have been having at night stopped too. The slight depression I felt was lifted as well. I now sleep better, deeper, and wake up more refreshed. I have been to sleep studies and have seen many doctors, and nothing has helped as immediately and as noticeably as the removal of these foods from my diet.

“I would have considered the food allergy results alone a complete and overwhelming success. However, the lab study also identified excessive deficiencies in my amino acids, omega fatty acids, vitamin D, essential minerals, and elevated levels of free radical damage. A replenishment program was tailored around my requirements and allergies. There is so much to learn, but Dr. Neustadt and his staff make the process simple and easy to understand. Although there are some eating and exercise habits I must change, I look forward to the many added benefit this holistic approach to health care has to offer.

These tests can identify the underlying biochemical dysfunctions that cause and maintain disease. Based on these tests, customized medical nutrition programs are created to promote health by correcting the underlying biochemical causes of disease.

Testing and Interpretation

NBI Testing and Consulting Corporation has the exclusive ability to interpret these sophisticated tests, correlate them to symptoms and quickly adjust metabolic deficiencies using medical biochemistry. All interpretation is done by Dr. John Neustadt, director of Montana Integrative Medicine, and an editor of the second edition of the textbook, Laboratory Evaluations in Molecular Medicine: Nutrients, Toxicants and Cell Regulators. Patients who have spent phenomenal sums of money getting worked up, diagnosed and treated at major medical facilities continue to deteriorate because they have not been properly evaluated. Often their diagnoses may be as esoteric as mitochondrial disease or hypopituitaryism, but neither of those diagnoses provide adequate information about the underlying causes and how to correct them. The vast majority of examinations and tests are structural in nature and not functional. Biochemical testing provides functional information about the underlying causes of illness and how to improve health through customized medicine tailored to the unique needs of each person’s biochemical individuality. No other medical facility in the world, including Harvard, Mayo, Cornell, UCLA, Columbia Medical Center, The Cleveland Clinic and Stanford University, has these diagnostic, interpretive and treatment capabilities.
